
Emery girls’ tennis was on the road in Moab to face the Grand County Red Devils on Tuesday. The Lady Spartans secured a win in their second doubles match but struggled in the others, falling to the Red Devils 4-1.
Emery is still searching for their first win this season and is down to the final few matches of the regular season before they will take part in the 3A state Playoffs that will begin on October 9 and will wrap up over two days at Liberty Park in Salt Lake City on October 10 & 11.
Harley Sitterud came close in her first set in third singles against Kimber McCandless of Grand, eventually falling 6-4 and 6-2.
Talyn Morgan and Ayana Ashby were able to collect a win in their second doubles match over Tesni Maughan and Oakley Ricks, 6-4 and 6-1.
The Lady Spartans will welcome the Delta Rabbits to Castle Dale on September 23. matches will begin at 3:30 p.m..
