The USU Eastern rodeo team hit the road again this past weekend, competing at the UVU Rodeo held in Spanish Fork. Although it was a relatively slow weekend overall, the men’s team still managed to secure some strong placings and valuable points.
In the steer wrestling, Kaden Donathan fought hard and placed 6th in the first round.
Byron Christiansen had another standout performance in the saddle bronc, claiming 2nd in the first round and coming back even stronger to win 1st in the second round. His success pushed him to the number one spot in the regional standings.
In the team roping, Howdy and his partner put together a consistent weekend, taking 2nd place in the first round, 2nd place in the short round, and 2nd place in the average. With those results, Howdy climbed to fourth in the region standings.
Although the weekend brought fewer placings than usual, the team gained valuable experience, maintained momentum on the board, and is now looking ahead to the next rodeo with determination.
