Carbon golfers got a look at the home of the 3A State Championships on Monday, Stansbury Park. The course hosted Region 13 for its championship tournament, and on October 8 & 9, it will host the state competition. Union took the top finish on the team side, but three Dino golfers were singled out for their play throughout region play.

Levi King had the low round of the day (71) but also wrapped up the top golfer in region play, shooting a 520 combined in all matches. Dayton King shot a 76 on the day and finished in second for the region with a 521. Cash Withers would shoot an 80 for the day and finish region play in ninth place, shooting a 552. Karsen Gazell shot an 89 to round out the scoring for the Dinos, who finished in second with 316, 17 strokes off the pace set by Union. Tristen Cunningham (90), Christian Cowan (90), Paxton Falk (91), and Case Barker (91) rounded out the Carbon team.

Union and Carbon locked in the top two spots, followed by Emery (319), North Sanpete (340), and Manti (354).

The Dinos will take the remainder of the week off and prepare for the State Championships on October 8 & 9 at the Stansbury Park Course once again.
