The Carbon Dino cross-country teams came away from Wednesday’s Union Invite with a pair of top team finishes for the second meet in a row. Rozlyn Stowe earned a first-place finish for the Lady Dinos, and Evan Criddle was the top finisher for the Carbon boys in second.

Host Union finished in second place in the girls division behind the Lady Dinos. North Sevier, Uintah, and Altamont rounded out the rest of the field.

Stowe earned another first-place finish this season, turning in a time of 17:30.11. Josie Yates and Brettlee Kennedy earned top 10 finishes for the Lady Dinos. Kaylee Pitcher, Allie Bryner, Alexa Jones, and Rebekah Trostle also competed for Carbon.

In the boys’ division, Union finished behind Carbon in second. Uintah, North Sevier, and Emery rounded out the top five in a field of nine schools.

Evan Criddle finished in second place, 20 seconds behind Union’s Hunter Horrocks and his time of 16:24.06. Matthew Stomness, Samuel Wilson, Bracken Hanson, and Dallin Humes finished in the top ten for the Dinos. Spencer Pitcher and Seth Jenson took part in the meet as well.

The next event on the schedule for the Dinos is the Region 13 Championships, scheduled for October 15 at the Carbon Country Club Golf Course.
