The No. 20 Utah State Eastern Eagles welcomed the No. 13 Snow College Badgers to Price, Utah, for a ranked conference showdown. Eastern came into the match at the top of the Scenic West Conference Standings.

Defenses dominated the first half of the match, allowing just six total shots in the half. Eastern goalkeeper Fabian Serrato-Ruiz recorded a save in the half to keep the Badgers off the board.

After the half, Owen Gaisford scored just 47 seconds into the half to give Eastern a 1-0 lead over Snow. The goal was Gaisford’s eight of the year.

Snow scored in the 84th minute to tie the match at 1-1. Making a late push, the Badgers scored with just 74 seconds remaining in the match to secure a 2-1 victory over the Eagles.

The Eagles will look to rebound from the loss with a match against Salt Lake Community College. The match is scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 9, in Salt Lake City, Utah.
