When the season started back in August, the Pinnacle Panthers were ready for the grind of the baseball season. On Friday, the 2025 calendar closed on the year as the Panthers fell to the No. 8 Tintic Miners 16-3.

The Panthers finished the season ranked No. 9  and drew the Tintic Miners in the bracket. These two teams squared off in early August in Price with the Miners taking an 18-4 victory.

Pinnacle got on the board, scoring a pair of runs in the top of the first. Joey Howell scored on an error at third, and later in the at-bat, Domonick Huit sent a single to right, driving in Bryson Shumway from third. The Miners came back in the bottom of the inning to take the lead 3-2. Neither team was able to put runs up in a quiet second inning, but in the third, Tintic exploded for 12 runs to take a commanding 15-2 lead into the fourth, where they added one more run, to push their advantage to 16-2. Pinnalce would add one more run at the top of the fifth as Brody Howell was able to steal home, but that was all they could do, as Tintic closed them out in five innings.

Huitt was 2-3 in the contest, adding an RBI for the Panthers. Shumway and Joey Howell went 1-2 with a run scored. Riley Davis and Brody Howell both were 1-3, with Brody Howell adding a run scored. Dominick Vigil was 1-1 in the loss.

Brody Howell was on the mound for the Panthers, giving up 16 runs, 15 earned, on 17 hits and striking out five.

The game closes out the 2025 campaign for the Panthers, who finish the season 7-11 overall with a 4-8 region mark. They also closed the year with the No. 9 spot in the final rankings.

Keep an eye out in the coming weeks for a recap of the Pinnacle Panther baseball 2025 season.
