
The season came to an end for a trio of Emery Spartan golfers on Thursday at the Stansbury Park Golf Course. After missing the cut in the team championships on Wednesday, three Spartan golfers remained eligible for the individual championships that would conclude on Thursday, along with the team competition.
Morgan, who ended day one in third, leapfrogged both Richfield and Juab to land in first place in the team competition with a two-day total of 581. Juab (585) closed the season in second, and Richfield (602)was third. Union (613) claimed third, and Carbon (616) ended the year in fifth. Denver Douglas of Juab claimed the top spot in the individual championships with a -12 for the tournament.
Champ Justice finished at +14, landing in a tie for 22nd place. Peyton Nielson ended at +19 to end in a tie for 32, and Bronx Olsen was at +26 to tie for 51st out of a field of 90 golfers.
This brings an end to the boys’ golf season. In the coming weeks, Castle Country Radio will release a season in review for the Emery golf team.
