The Lady Dinos claimed a victory over Manti in their first match of the consolation bracket at the 3A State Championships. After falling in their opening match against Delta, they earned a 2-1 win over the Templars.

Carbon dropped its opening-round match to Delta in straight sets, falling into the consolation bracket, meaning the best Carbon can finish is sixth place.  Once you drop out of the Championship Bracket, all matches become best of three.

This would be the third time these teams have met this season, with the Lady Dinos coming away with wins in the previous meetings. Manti earned the victory in the first set by the score of 25-17, giving them their only win in the match. Carbon would battle its way through set number two, taking a 25-15 win. The third and final set was all Dinos once again, as they took the 25-13 win and moved on to play tomorrow.

The  Lady Dinos advance to face the No. 9 Juab Wasps on Tuesday. These two teams faced off to open the season on August 12 in Price, with Carbon emerging with a 3-2 win. A win puts them in the sixth and eighth place match at 10:15 a.m. A loss would end the season.

Game time against Juab is set for 9:00 a.m..
