Yesterday, October 26, 2025, I had to say goodbye to the most precious treasure; my son, Tyler.
He lost his battle with kidney and heart failure after the bravest fight that I have ever witnessed.
Tyler came into this world with so much energy. He never stopped learning, growing, and living life. We first knew something was not right during his senior year in high school. His battle for survival began in April of 2016 when he completely collapsed and was rushed to IMC where we were told he did not have much chance of surviving. But in typical Tyler fashion, he decided nobody chooses his fate but him and he bravely fought on for the next nine years; undergoing heart surgery, transplant surgery, and recovering his transplant twice before deciding he was too tired to keep fighting. And last night he closed his eyes for the last time on this earth and opened them for the first time in eternity.
Tyler loved his family so much and especially he loved me. I now have to find the strength to live on this earth without my soul mate.
Tyler is survived by his two sisters, Arminda Miera and Sarah Miera; his bestie and little brother, Russel Miera and his wife, Alyssa Duddley; niece, Deliliah Miera; his mom, Melanie Jensen; and his dad, Jeffrey Jensen.
We are going to miss his very unique sense of humor. He loved to tease and surprise his family and friends, but the thing he loved most was teaching his siblings how to “survive” in this world.
He loved the outdoors and carpentry. He was just a few classes short of his Associates Degree when his illness forced him out of college; but he never stopped studying. His head was always full of useful and historical facts, especially about the Vikings and WWII.
Life handed Tyler more trials than he deserved, but he faced them all with the courage of a warrior. He is my Hero.
Rest in peace my sweet boy. You have earned your day in Valhalla.
Per Tyler’s wishes; he was cremated. No services will take place at this time.
Arrangements entrusted to Mitchell Funeral Home of Price and Huntington where friends are always welcome daily and may share memories of Tyler online at www.mitchellfuneralhome.net
