Dakota L. McArthur, age 35, of Huntington, Utah, passed away suddenly on November 2, 2025, doing what he loved most.
He was born on September 13, 1990, to Arthur and Lori McArthur. After the birth of his sister, Dallas, the two became inseparable and lifelong best friends.
Dakota married Kayla Richens and together they were blessed with two wonderful children; daughter, Breelle and son, Brixton McArthur. Though Dakota and Kayla later went their separate ways, they continued to share great love and devotion for their children. His kids were his greatest joy and he cherished every moment spent with them.
A graduate of Emery High School, Dakota worked as a coal miner at Lila and Bronco Mines and was most recently employed at Neilson Arc. He was known for his strong work ethic, dedication, and positive attitude on and off the job.
Dakota had a zest for life and always on the go. He loved spending time outdoors, riding four-wheelers, camping, fishing, hunting, and golfing. No matter the activity, he was always up for a new adventure. He loved the Cincinnati Bengals and the Ohio State Buckeyes.
He will be remembered as one of the kindest, most loving people you could ever meet. Dakota had a big heart and was always willing to help anyone in need. His caring spirit, contagious smile, and love for life will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
