The Carbon Dino boys’ team got things rolling last week as they made the trip to take on the Tooele Buffaloes. The Dinos built their lead in the first quarter and never looked back, taking a 74-63 win.

The Dinos came out in the first, putting up 18 points and using their defense to hold the Buffaloes to 10. The second quarter was a battle between both teams, with Tooele just edging out the Dinos, but Carbon maintained its lead heading to the half, up 39-32.

In the second half, Carbon went back to work, putting up another 18 points, holding the Buffaloes to 11, and widening their lead to 57- 43. The Dinos seemed to slow it down in the fourth, but were never in danger of the game getting away from them, and Carbon went on to win 74-63.

Logan Bennett led the way for the Dinos with 26 points, Kyler Orth scored 13, and Ty Mortensen put up 12 in the win for Carbon.

The Dinos get back on the court on Tuesday when they will welcome the Uintah Utes to Price.
