Jaki Hall Collard passed away surrounded by her family on November 21, 2025 after a courageous battle with cancer.
Jaki was born in Cedar City, Utah on November 24, 1955 to Arbon and R’Dell Petersen Hall.
As a child, Jaki loved babysitting her nieces and had many close friends who still love her today. She was a beautiful singer and, with her guitar, performed at school, church services, family events, and at Zion National Park as a cabin maid. She loved to dance and she danced in high school and then at Snow College where she met her eternal sweetheart, Joe. They were married on September 13, 1975 in Manti Temple. Together they raised their five children on the farm and in the garden in Fountain Green, where they had many close friends. Joe and Jaki moved to Castle Dale and made many more friends and finished raising their family. She took her job as a mother very seriously and lovingly taught her children and grandchildren.
Jaki was supportive and loving of everyone she met. She was a peacemaker who shared her wisdom through eloquent words. She loved to tell stories from her life and from the lives of her parents and grandparents. Through her, many family stories will be remembered. Jaki loved words, rocks, books, singing, and, most of all, her family. She had a strong testimony and faith in her Savior and tried every day to be her best self. She inspired many and will be severely missed. Jaki will be remembered for her beautiful, kind smile and her devotion to her family.
She leaves behind three loving sisters, her husband, Joe, and her five children: Isaac (Christy), Kathrine (Brandon), Jake (Amy), Sariah (John), and Jessi (Brett); and 12 grandchildren that she loved and supported through all their endeavors.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Arbon and R’Dell Hall; brother, Charles; and sister, Wynauna.
