
John Ernst Wunnenberg, II, died November 20, 2025 at his home in Wellington, UT, surrounded by family after a two-year valiant fight with cancer.
He was born May 26, 1965 in Norfolk, VA to the late Louis, Sr. and Ann Jackson Wunnenberg.
John loved his mustang, his motorcycle and would travel too far on it for an 8-9 year-old. He loved music, playing piano, drums, and guitar. He enjoyed drawing, making jokes and inventions. But his greatest joy was his brother, sisters, cousins, nieces, nephews, and “greats”.
He is survived by his brother, Louis Jr., Price, UT; sisters, Lou Ann Dumminger, Farmville, VA; Liese (Michael) Wells, Wellington, UT; Lynn (Robin) Dickerson, Lehi, UT; Laura (Craig) Parody, Lakeland, FL; Mary Fraser (Russell) Kirsh, Williamsburg, VA; 17 nieces and nephews, 32 great nieces and nephews, three aunts, one uncle and many cousins.
Beside his parents, he is predeceased by grandparents, John Sr., and Mary Ruth Fraser Wunnenberg; DuVal C. and Alice O’Neil Jackson; nephew, Gordon Parody; brother-in-law, James C. Dumminger, Sr. as well as aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Funeral service Wednesday, November 26, 2025, 11:00 a.m., Mitchell Funeral Home, 233 East Main Street, Price, Utah, where the family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment Wellington City Cemetery, Wellington, Utah.
