We are sharing the sad news of the passing of Melinda Ann Anderson, age 43, on November 9, 2025, in West Jordan.

Melinda graduated from Carbon High School a year early in 1999. Her strong interest in medical services began at a young age, evidenced by her attending a school trip to a cadaver facility when she was just 13. She dedicated her life to the medical field, juggling her education and work in nursing home facilities.

Her commitment led her to join the United States Army as a Combat Medic, completing a tour in Iraq. Upon returning, she received an Honorable Medical discharge but continued to pursue her passion, eventually becoming a Registered Nurse. Throughout her career, she worked in various medical facilities and formed many wonderful friendships.

She loved the outdoors, such as fishing, hiking, and camping. She especially enjoyed being in the mountains. Melinda was a devoted mother to her two children: Kenedie, born in 2011, and Robert, born in 2013.

She is survived by her husband, Eldon Sundar Anderson of West Jordan; daughter, Kenedie Cheyenne Marshall; and her son, Robert Wayne Marshall, both of West Jordan; her parents, Lydia (Jim) Spink of Tooele and Robert (Rebecca) McKendrick of Helper; siblings, Heather McKendrick of Salt Lake City, James McKendrick of Holladay; and the father of her children, Warren Marshall of West Jordan.

Melinda was preceded in death by her grandparents and other loved ones.

Services will be held December 4, 2025 at 12:00 p.m. in the Utah Veterans Cemetery Chapel (17111 South Camp Williams Rd. Bluffdale, UT 84065). Graveside services will follow at 1:00 p.m.
