We are here to honor and celebrate the life of Lyle Carl Bauer, born May 15, 1955, who died on November 25, 2025, from a still-unknown lung disease.

Lyle was born in Cortez, Colorado, and later made his home in Price, Utah.

A faithful Jehovah’s Witness, Lyle married his true love and best friend, Silvanna Netz Bauer, who cannot imagine living her life without him and will always carry his love in her heart.

He was also a joyful grandfather to Rocco and Scarlett, who lovingly called him “Wahwee.”

Lyle, an old hippie, was known for his signature word, “groovy.” He lived a life grounded in gratitude, creativity, and compassion.

A gifted athlete in his youth, Lyle earned the Hustler Award for grit and determination. He served the community as a volunteer firefighter and EMT, and later retired from the Parks and City Department. What he cherished most was working on water features with his son, Dylan.

Lyle had a passion for art and always had a creative project in progress. His dry humor, insight, and endless “useless information” made him unforgettable. He never met a stranger and loved music deeply, especially playing the harmonica and guitar.

Lyle leaves behind mountains of art, memories, and wisdom that will keep his family’s and friends’ hearts filled with joy in the void of his absence. The world has lost a man who truly made it brighter. He will be missed beyond measure. Yet, Lyle would remind us, “Not to sweat the small stuff.” Because it’s all small stuff in the end.

Lyle was preceded in death by his loving and generous parents, Eileen Malone Bauer and Fredrick Bauer.

He is survived by his brother, Randy Paul Bauer; his wife of 48 years, Silvanna Netz Bauer; his children, Zair Rain Bauer-Lincoln and Dylan Bauer; his stepdaughter, Jonee Hayward; his son-in-law, John Lincoln; as well as his grandchildren, Rocco and Scarlett.

Memorial service, Saturday, December 13, 2025, 2:00 p.m., at Mitchell Funeral Home (233 East Main St. Price, UT) where the family will receive friends one hour prior to service.

Arrangements entrusted to Mitchell Funeral Home of Price and Huntington where friends and family are welcome to share memories of Lyle online at www.mitchellfuneralhome.net.
