
Thursday evening, the Lady Spartans welcomed the Rams from South Sevier. This was another dominant performance by Emery, who earned their fourth win of the season, 66-29.
The Lady Spartans sit at 4-2 this season with wins over Canyon View, Duchesne, Grantsville, and now South Sevier. Their only losses this season came at the hands of Beaver and Duchesne.
Emery came out firing in the first quarter to take a commanding 24-8 lead after the first quarter. The Rams woke up in the second, scoring 12 points in the period, but the Lady Spartans put up 18 to take a 42-20 lead by halftime.
The Spartans woke up in the third, going on a run to outscore the Rams, 19-3, pushing their lead to an insurmountable 61-23. The final eight minutes were merely a formality as Emery went on to take the 66-29 win.
Aleeyah Cowley led the Lady Spartans with 18 and pulled down six rebounds. Kabree Gordon scored 14 with four rebounds, three steals, and two assists. Megan Stilson scored nine with nine steals and a pair of assists, and Skylee Guymon had eight points and 12 rebounds in the win.
The Lady Spartans will travel to face American Heritage on Wednesday.
