Price City News Release

A planned power outage will affect a portion of Price City starting no sooner than 9:00 AM on Thursday, December 11th, 2025, and lasting until no later than 4:00 PM the same day.

Affected Customers:

  • All customers on Castle Avenue, Castle Heights Drive, and Blarney Circle.
  • Customers on the east side of Homestead Boulevard above 800 North only. ● See the accompanying map:

Customers who pay their power bills to Rocky Mountain Power or Helper City will not be affected.

Reason for the Outage:

This temporary outage is necessary to allow multiple crews to replace damaged equipment in the affected neighborhood. Crews will work diligently to minimize the outage duration and complete the work safely and with the highest quality.

Safety Precautions During the Outage:

  • Please plan ahead to reduce travel within the affected area.
  • Exercise caution while driving and reduce speed.
  • Yield to emergency vehicles by pulling over to the shoulder, regardless of your direction of travel. ● Treat non-working or red-flashing traffic signals as a 4-way stop.
  • Use extra caution at railroad crossings (Stop, Look, and Listen).

Important Information for Residents with Home Health Needs:

Residents requiring home health services should make alternative arrangements as soon as possible by contacting their caregivers and providers.

Outage Notification:

Any updates, if available, will be provided on the Price City Power update page, accessible via a link sent to those registered for text message notifications. To sign up, text “power” to (435) 260-3166 and follow the instructions. Due to staffing schedules, registration for notifications related to this outage must be completed by 3 PM on Wednesday, December 10th, 2025. Those who register after that time will receive notifications for future events.

Do Not Contact:

Please DO NOT call Rocky Mountain Power, Public Safety Dispatch, or 911 for outage updates. Doing so disrupts their ability to respond to emergencies.

Thank you in advance for your patience,

Price City Electric Department
