The holiday season just got better with Eastern Utah Community Credit Union: until Jan. 16, the credit union is offering triple points on every purchase made with its Visa Extra Awards card.
EUCCU Regional Branch Manager Joel Hatch joined the KOAL newsroom to discuss the promotion and share more about the credit union.
Hatch opened our conversation by previewing a big change to this year’s promo: “We usually just do double points back. And this time, it’s triple rewards.”
She continued,” With our rewards, what’s great is if you have used these previously or if you use a lot this year, next year, you can cash our points in for gift cards. And there are 500 different options that you can go on, load gift cards for different department stores. And you are the hero at Christmastime. And it didn’t cost you anything.”
When examining cards from EUCCU, the credit union’s customization truly stands out, especially its spirit card program that lets customers represent their favorite high school wherever they go. “We have instant issue cards. So you choose the card that you want right there.”
Hatch added,” And another situation I want to talk about right now is with the instant issue. If you have any fraud or any trouble with your card, you sit right in front of my employees, and we take care of that right away, and we give you another card. You don’t miss a beat. You don’t have to be on hold. You don’t have to be transferred. You sit right in front of us, and we take care of you right there.”
Hatch also gave a guide on how to become an EUCCU member to participate in the promotion,” We have lots of points of contact. If you want to call and talk to somebody on the phone, call and talk to somebody on the phone. You want to come in and sit down, come in and sit down. You want to do something online at three o’clock in the morning, put in your application right there, and leave how you want to be contacted – email, text, phone. You want an appointment to come in. We want to meet how you want to be met.”
“We try to make it as frictionless as possible. We know you can choose to go anywhere you want,” Hatch added. “We want you to choose us because we have the people to help you. We have people who want to help you.”
Closing our conversation, Hatch stated,” During this holiday season, please pay attention to what’s going on around you. It is easy to get involved in a scam. It is easy for your credit card to be stolen. So keep in mind: you watch your statements and your balances every day, and if you have a card with us, we can help take care of you immediately. Use a credit card, not a debit card, during this holiday season and get triple points back.”
