Thursday night in Monroe, the Spartan wrestling team was in the middle of a hectic week. Traveling to Altamont on Wednesday, and with a trip to Farmington coming up for the weekend, the Spartans collected the team win 51-26.
The Spartans went 9-5 against the Rams, with three wins by forfeit, one by decision, and the remainder by pin.
Dixon Peacock took the win at 126 pounds over South Sevier’s Brody Fillmore. At 144 pounds, Dayton Farley was victorious over Sawyer Smith, and Jasper Allen defeated Grady Heaps by a 21-17 decision.
Damon Farley claimed a win by pin over the Rams’ Hudson Smith at 157 pounds. In the 165-pound class, Benjamin Farley took on Kaleb Anderson, coming away with a pin for the victory, and Hazen Meccariello took the win over Leviathan McTeer by pin.
The Spartans will wind up the week in Farmington for the Christmas Clash on Friday and Saturday.
