Linda Parkinson Garvin passed away on December 17, 2025 from a tragic accident.  She was born on June 28, 1961 in Logan, Utah. She grew up in Delta, Utah, and lived most of her life in Price, Utah.

Mom had many accomplishments and talents.  She was an elementary teacher for 27 years in Carbon School District.  She was on over-achiever who always spent her time after school grading papers and creating fun learning activities. She loved her students so much and they became “her kids.” She taught foreign exchange students attending CEU. She loved to play games of any kind with her family. For mom, there wasn’t much better than a soda, a Hallmark movie, and a puzzle. Mom was an amazing seamstress and crafter, even helping her mother sew a full-size teepee for her dad.  She could make or sew just about anything, from blessing dresses to her own wedding dress.

She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served in many callings from Primary chorister, to Young Women’s presidency, to serving in the Young Single Adult Stake. She had a deeply rooted testimony of Jesus Christ and was and is a firm believer in the power of prayer that she shared with her family and friends. She made service in the temple a priority in her life through regular visits at home and while traveling.

She was devoted to her husband, sweet-heart, adventure buddy, and perfect other half Daniel (Bob). They were married in the Manti Temple on September 1, 1979.  It didn’t matter where they were going or what they were doing, they were always found together.

Mom loved her family more than anything in the world.  She continued the tradition of her parents by having the most amazing grandkids’ days. She loved taking strolls down the beach and all over Disneyland.

She is survived by her husband, Daniel (Bob); and children, Melanie and Seth Oveson, Daniel and Stephanie Garvin, Thomas and Cassidy Garvin, Megan and Timmy Urbanik, Dallen and Kaylee Garvin, Errol and Heidi Adams, and Tristan and Sarah Garvin. She had 32 grandchildren with one on the way. Surviving siblings: Larry and Laurel Parkinson, Boyd and Laree Parkinson, Kenneth and Ginger Parkinson, and Cindy and Richard Jepson.
