The Dino boys’ wrestling squad took to the road once again after a busy week to compete in the Christmas Clash in Farmington. With over 50 teams from throughout the region competing, the Dinos finshed 37.

Westlake took the top spot, followed by Timpanogos in second. Syracuse, Spanish Fork, and South Summit rounded out the top five.

This was a tournament for both varsity and junior varsity teams, and a pair of JV wrestlers earned top-three finishes. At 106 pounds, Jaden Barlow went 8-1 over the two days, finishing in third place. Deryk Valdez at 113 pounds went 4-1, coming in second place, falling to Gunnison’s Brayden Anderson in the Championship Round.

On the varsity level, Jerron Becker went 2-2. In the 150 class, La Shawn Duran was 2-2, and Jarded Simmons went 2-2 at 285 pounds.
