Lawrence was released from mortality and returned to his Heavenly Father December 24, 2025. He was born in Los Angeles, California on December 31, 1938 to Grove Lawrence Flower II and Ruth Rosealtha Safley.

Lawrence spent most of his youth and young adult life in various locations in Carbon County settling down in South Price. He left school to join the military and upon returning he met Barbara Alene Hawkins. They were married September 3, 1960  in Salt Lake City, Utah. They had two children: Grove Lawrence Flower IV and Gail Lynne Flower. After Barbara passed, Lawrence raised his children primarily in Carbon County while working in the coal mines.

Later he married Carol Ann Smith in the Manti Utah Temple on June 20, 1981. Carol and Lawrence were blessed with three more children: Kevin Kimball, Jody Ruth, and Erika Ann Flower

Lawrence was deeply converted and grew his faith in Jesus Christ who he loved dearly, showing all around him the best example of Christ-like love through ministering, helping others, and putting Christ first.  He was active in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints serving in many callings to the best of his abilities. He loved his family and looked forward to yearly camping trips and Thanksgiving meals while doting on the babies. He was always going out of his way to spend time with and help his family anytime they needed it, which was quite often. He had a talent of finding ways to fix things and was a jack of all trades.

Some of the things he enjoyed most in this life were fishing, camping, going to the temple, participating in church activities, going on vacations and spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Barabara Flower; his son, Lawrence Flower IV; his parents, and his brothers, George Vance and Cleggett Riddings.

He is survived by his wife, Carol; daughter, Gail (Michael) Tolzmann; son, Kevin (Kathryn) Flower; daughter, Jody (Mohcine) Lahlali; daughter, Erika (Mikeal) Simburger;  along with his ten grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren; brothers, Ronald (Lynn) Flower, Edward (Loretta) Flower; and sister-in-law, Ellen Riddings.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Elevate Home Health & Hospice for their love and concern through his mortal journey the last six months.
