On Monday, the Lady Dino wrestlers were in Nephi for the Beehive Invitational. Four Carbon wrestlers took part in the one-day event, with three placing inside the top 10.  Out of 44 teams, the quartet for Carbon placed 15th.

Madison Arroyo earned a third-place finish at 190 pounds, winning her first two matches: a 5-2 decision over Mary Katoa from West, and then again in the semifinal round, Arroyo put in some work and earned a win by pin over Lilleni Bossy of Jordan.  Arroyo fell in the first-place match and then in the 2nd place match; she withdrew due to injury.

Rickelle Collins finished in sixth place for the invitational, finishing 3-3 overall.  Collins opened up with a win over Kylee Pope from Springville by technical fall. She was defeated in the quarterfinals by Keely Hansen of Manti. Collins claimed wins in her next two matches and then lost her last two, falling to Hansen again in the fifth-place match.

Kallie Lefler at 110 pounds won her opening match by pin over Jacelyn McCauley from Uintah. Lefler fell in her quarterfinal match, only to come back and win her second consolation round match over Taylor Whittom of Canyon View by a 10-4 decision. Lefler dropped her final two games, including a loss by pin in the seventh-place match to McCauley, finishing in eighth.

In the 130-pound class, Farrah Parker went 1-2 with her only win coming against Sadie Sams of Canyon View.

The Lady Dinos will travel to Manti on Tuesday for a single meet, then head to Richfield for the Winter Classic.
