The Spartans were on the road Wednesday evening as they made the trip over the mountains to take on the Union Cougars in Roosevelt. Emery earned four wins over 14 matches and took the 59-24 loss,
Emery has been busy this week: on the road in Salina on Tuesday, and after Wednesday’s matches, they will take Thursday off before traveling to Cedar City for the Irontown Dual on Friday and Saturday.
In the 106-pound class, Corbin Brady earned a win by pin over Knox Davis. At 138 pounds, Ryan Collard took the victory by pin over his opponent, Raeman Sanez.
Hazen Meccariello took care of business at 190 pounds, getting the win by pin over McCallister Crowley, and at 215 pounds, Dimitri Bunn took the victory over Hector Ipina Perez.
On Friday, the Spartans will make the trip to Cedar City for the Irontown Duals, a two-day tournament with 26 schools from across Utah and Nevada.
