The Carbon boys wrestling squad continued its busy week on Thursday when it welcomed the North Sevier Wolves to Price. For some members of the team, this was the third day in a row they had been on the mats, and it didn’t show as the Dinos turned in a dominating performance, earning wins in 11 of 14 matches and taking the 64-18 win.
For Jantz Greenhalgh, this was the third day of competition, as he earned a top finish at the All-Star Duals on Tuesday, won his match at Morgan on Wednesday, and faced North Sevier on Thursday. And the Dinos aren’t finished as they will travel to Vernal for the Tournament of Champions on Friday and Saturday.
For Greenhalgh, this was just another day at the office as he dominated Hunter Baker, winning by technical fall 17-2. Chance Wood took the win over Jaxson Beach by pin. Jack Vigor takes the win by pin over Conrad James in the 144-pound class.
At 150 pounds, Trace Crespin won by technical fall (15-0) over Ryker Williams, and Wyler Tatton earned a win by pin over Trinndn Simpson at 215 pounds.
Ashdyn Densley (113), Koen Labrum (138), Jack Burdick (157), Bryson Ferguson (165), Coleman Hinckley (175), and Jared Simmons (285) all won their matches by forfeit.
The Dinos head to Vernal for the Tournament of Champions that takes place on Friday and Saturday.
