The Carbon Dino swim team traveled to Grand to face the Red Devils, Emery, and Vanguard Academy on Friday. As the season winds down, the Dinos aim to make waves with regional championships approaching. At Grand, both the Dino boys and girls finished second.
After Grand, Carbon has only the Cedar Invitational on January 16 and 17, and the Last Chance Invite on January 24, before regionals begin January 30, both will be held in Price.
In the girls’ division, Emery High School, with 480 points, took first place. Carbon and Grand both tied for second with 380 points each.
In relays, Kanyon Christensen, Josie Jesperson, Lisa King, and Lily Thayn took first with a time of 1:56.45. The 400 free relay team—Rachel Blackburn, Maya Bower, Brylie Horsley, and Avy Atwood—finished second.
