Jennifer Newman, age 59, passed away January 14, 2026 in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Jennifer was born on July 28, 1966 in Moab, Utah to Fred and Josephine Newman. She was raised in Wellington, Utah and went to Carbon High. When she was 19, she married Clint Cunningham and she gave birth to her son, Kalvin Cunningham. She later married Jim Johnson and gave birth to Nikki Johnson Blair and Macy Johnson Downey. She spent the last 10 years with her love Carl Dimmick.

Jennifer enjoyed fishing, camping, and the outdoors. She found her spirituality in nature. She enjoyed being family and friends. She loved dart and pool leagues. She had great sense of humor and loved to tell jokes and stories even when times were tough. She was also very business driven and had her bachelors in business.

She was a good person, a great friend, mother and grandmother. She will be missed dearly by her family and a community of friends.

The family wishes to thank Odie at Utah Valley Hospital for the compassionate care provided to Jennifer.

There will be a celebration of life at the Cowboy Club in Wellington, Utah on Sunday, January 18, 2026 at 4 p.m. A viewing will then take place on Wednesday, January 21, 2026, from 10:00-11:00 a.m. at Mitchell Funeral Home in Price, Utah. She will then be laid to rest on Wednesday, January 28, 2026, at 11:00 a.m., in the Sunset Memorial Cemetery in Moab, Utah.
