Lady Dino Wrestling traveled to Salina last weekend for the North Sevier Invitational. With over 20 schools competing, the Lady Dinos finished 14th. The Carbon team consisted of nine wrestlers, and they finished in the top ten.

This was the final weekend of the regular season, with the Divisional round of the state tournament taking place Friday and Saturday in Richfield. The State Championships will also be held at the Sevier Valley Center in Richfield. The Championships take place on February 4 & 5.

All the competitors for the Lady Dinos finished in the top ten, with four finishing in the top five. Bailee Christensen finished the weekend at 4-1 overall, making her way to the Championship Match, where she fell to Lizbet Rodriguez from Canyon View by technical fall, 22-6. Alizah Trostle, who went 3-1, earned a third-place finish by taking the victory in her final match against Madeleinne Pratt of Gunnison by pin.

Chloe Parker finshed 3-2 in her division by taking the win in the fifth-place match by pin over Kyler Phelps of Beaver, and Brookleigh Unsworth, who also finshed 3-2, claimed victory in the fifth-place match over Kaliya Arnold of Dixie by pin.

Carbon has now entered the postseason and will travel to Richfield this weekend for the Divisional round.

After that, it will be time for the State Championships, which will take place on Wednesday and Thursday, February 4th and 5th, at the Sevier Valley Center in Richfield.
