With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Norma Pickup, at the age of 85. She passed away on January 18, 2026, in Helper, Utah. Norma was a cherished mother, stepmother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, sister, and aunt.

Norma was born on March 16, 1940, in Knoxville, Iowa, the fourth of eight children born to John and Nell (Graham) Barnett. Her family relocated to Hiawatha, Utah, when she was four years old when her father came to work in the coal mines.

Norma married Jack E. McKinnon on September 6, 1957, in Price. Together they had five children Pauli, Colleen, Wilma, Jack, & Missy. They started their life together at the Millerton Dairy Ranch before moving to Green River and then Hiawatha, eventually settling in Price, Utah. They enjoyed camping, fishing, and long drives; later in life, they cherished building and spending time at the family cabin at Gooseberry Estates. Jack preceded her in death on October 25, 1986.

She later married Quint Pickup on November 6, 1987, gaining four stepchildren Russ, Connie, Marc & Shawnda. Norma and Quint shared a love for riding horses, taking pack trips, and traveling to rodeos and cowboy poetry events. Quint preceded her in death on September 20, 2017.

Norma will be remembered for her open door and her warm hospitality; she always welcomed people into her home for a cup of coffee, green tea, or a Pepsi. She was a talented cook who could whip up a wonderful meal from scratch.
