The State of Utah has issued a Silver Alert for John Reed Case, a 60-year-old man who was last seen on Sunday, Jan. 25.

According to the alert, Case’s last known location comes from a cellphone ping near Strawberry Reservoir.

On Saturday, family members say that he made comments that he was not feeling well before leaving Helper on Sunday at approximately 3 p.m.

Case is Caucasian, standing at five feet nine inches tall and weighing approximately 180 pounds. He is described as having gray hair with blue eyes. Case is suspected to be driving a white 2002 Nissan Xterra with a Utah plate reading 8G4PM.

He was last seen heading north on SR-6 from Helper, Utah.

Anyone with information connected to Case or his vehicle is encouraged to call the Carbon County Sheriff’s Office at 435-637-0890 or dial 911.
