U.S. Forest Service News Release

PRICE, UT, February 20, 2026 — The Manti-La Sal National Forest is now accepting applications for seasonal positions for the upcoming recreation season. These roles support summer operations, including campground and trail maintenance, visitor services, and resource management.

“Seasonal employees are the backbone of summer operations—keeping our campgrounds, trails and recreation sites open, safe and welcoming,” said Forest Supervisor Barbara Van Alstine. “These positions offer meaningful work and the chance to support public lands close to home.”

Thirteen positions are available across the forest with duty stations in Ephraim, Ferron, Monticello, and Moab, Utah. Applicants can view job announcements and apply starting today at USAJOBS.gov. Application periods and qualifications vary by position, so review announcements carefully.

“Seasonal jobs can be a first step into a natural resources career, a way to build experience, or simply a chance to spend the summer working outside,” added Manti-La Sal National Forest Recreation Manager, Jeffs, “We encourage anyone interested to apply.”
