The Emery Spartans spring sport squads are getting ready to start the final season of the school year. Soccer, baseball, softball, track and field, and golf will begin their seasons shortly to close out the 2025-2026 year.

Emery boys’ soccer will get on the field first on March 3 when they will welcome the Beaver Beavers to Castle Dale to start the season. Last season, after a win over Providence Hall in the first round, the Spartans advanced to face the eventual State Champion, Ogden Tigers, who ended Emery’s season with an 8-0 loss. The Spartans will begin region play on March 18, traveling to Price to face Carbon, and the Dinos will visit Castle Dale on April 10. Fourteen days later, on April 24, the first round of the state playoffs begins and wraps up on May 9 with the Championship game.

The Lady Spartan golf team begins play on March 5 in Richfield at the Cove View golf course. Last season ended in disappointment for the Lady Spartans as no player advanced past the first day of the State Championships. On March 11, they will take on the course at the Carbon Country Club, and then the following week, the region comes to Millsite. The Region Championships will take place on April 27 at Stansbury Park, which will also host the State Championships on May 6 & 7.

On March 5, the Spartan baseball team will be on the road for the Kanab Tournament. They will return to Castle Dale for their home opener on March 10 against South Sevier. Last season, the Spartans fell to the eventual State Champion, the Canyon View Falcons, to close out the State Chmapionships. Emery will open region play on March 24 when the Union Cougars come to Castle Dale. They will end the season with two back-to-back games against Carbon. On April 28, they will travel to Price, and then the regular season comes to a close on May 1, when the Dinos make the trip to Castle Dale. Super Regionals will be held May 7 & 8, with the State Championships taking place at Kearns High School May 15 & 16.

The Lady Spartans softball squad will open the season with back-to-back tournaments. Opening in Vernal for the Uintah tournament on March 6 & 7, and then the following weekend, they will be in St. George. Emery finished last season 22-13 overall with a 12-2 record in region play. They made it all the way to the final day, only to fall to the Grantsville Cowboys in the State Championship game. On March 24, they will open region play against the Lady Dinos in Price, and Carbon comes to Castle Dale on April 17. The regular season will wrap up on May 1 with a home contest against Union. The postseason will begin on May 9 and wrap up on May 12-15 at the State Championships.

The track and field season will begin on March 6 in Moab for the Grand Invitational, and on April 17, the Spartans will host the first of three meets this season. They will welcome runners from around the area on April 28 and will host the Region Championships on May 6 & 7. The State Championships will be at BYU on May 15 & 16. Last season the Lady Spartans claimed three state titles and finished in third overall in 3A.
