The Pinnacle Panthers’ spring sports will get underway in the next week or so, including golf, track and field, and Lady Panther softball. With the winter months behind us, it’s time to get back outdoors and enjoy the final couple of months of the school year.
Track and field gets the nod first when they travel to Moab on March 7 for the Grand Invitational. The next weekend, they will take part in the Farm Bureau Invite at Carbon High and compete at Carbon once again on April 10 for Dino Trax. April 17 marks the first of two meets at Emery for the Eastern Utah Invitational, and on April 27, they return for the Gardner Invitational. The regular season wraps up on May 6 in Monticello for the Region Championships, and then on May 14 & 15, Brigham Young University will host the State Championships.
The Panthers golf squads will begin the season on March 18 in Fruita, Colorado, at the Adobe Creek National Golf Course. The Panthers will host the region twice at the Carbon Country Club Golf Course, on April 8 and May 4. The State Championships will take place at Rose Park, May 11-13.
The Lady Panther softball squad will start their second season on March 13 when they take on Summit Academy in Price. They will close the regular season on the road at Wayne for a doubleheader on April 29. The State Championships will take place May 7-9.
Good luck to all Panther student-athletes in their respective spring sports. Be sure to come back to Castle Country Radio to follow the teams’ progress throughout the season.
