The Emery High School baseball program will play host to its annual youth camp on Saturday, April 11, bringing back a fun tradition.
Led by manager Chase Julian, the camp is open to kids ages 4-14. The camp will be divided into two groups, placing participants in appropriate age groups.
“It’s a really good opportunity for our high school boys and the youth of the community to get together,” said Julian on KOAL’s Drive Time Sports. “I love being there and watching our team interact with the kids. It’s a really fun day.”
The first age group, set for kids ages 4-8, will take to the Emery High School Armory at 9:00 a.m. That age group will take instruction until 11:00 a.m. The next age group, 9-14, will then start at noon and run for three hours.
Open to both boys and girls, the event will also feature members of the Emery High School softball team, who will offer instruction to any young softball player interested in participating.
The cost to attend the youth camp is $25. The fee will cover instruction, a t-shirt, and other swag.
