On Monday, the Lady Dinos golf team closed out the regular season with the Region 13 Championships. Union finshed with the season sweep, taking the top spot, while Carbon finished fourth with 425.

Union once again was dominant, with North Sanpete finishing in second with 389 strokes. Emery (410), Carbon (425), and Manti (431) round out the field. Avery Rasmussen of Union carded the low round of 87 for the day and claimed first place in scoring through the regular season with a 523.

The Lady Dinos had four golfers finish the regular season in the top 20 overall in scoring for the regular season. Leah Sweeney (13th), Zaya Olsen (16th), Kaycee Richardson (17th), and Madi Barlow (20th).

At the Region 13 Championships, Liv Rondinelli and Olsen both shot a 103. Kaycee Richardson had a 107, and Erin Hurst had a 112 to round out the scoring for Carbon.

Sweeney (116), Jocelyn Frandsen (119), Barlow (122), and Sammi Leroy (123) competed for the Lady Dinos as well.

The Lady Dinos will return to Stansbury Park on Wednesday and Thursday, May 6 & 7, for the 3A State Championships.
