Gary Alfred Mitcheson, age 68, of Ferron, Utah, passed away on April 30, 2026.

Gary was born on December 16, 1957, in Price, Utah, to Alfred and Mary Mitcheson.

Gary shared a deep and meaningful life with his wife, Sherri Ann Mitcheson. Together, they built a life centered around love, family, and simple moments that meant everything. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather.

He is survived by his wife, Sherri; his children, Destiny, Felisha (Wayne), Alfred (Erin), and Trevor (Josie); and his beloved grandchildren, Riley, Ashton, Kayeson, Layla, Madison, Marina, Lennyx, Parker, and Oaklee.

He is preceded in death by his parents; and his sisters, Terry and Debbie.

Gary was known for being hardworking, stubborn in the best way, and deeply caring. He found joy in the things that mattered most, time with his family, being outdoors, and riding through the mountains with the love of his life and his dogs, Shivers and Peekaboo.

Gary also had a passion for baseball and took great pride in coaching his boys. Those years on the field were more than just games, they were moments of teaching, bonding, and creating memories that would last a lifetime.

One of Gary’s greatest joys was spending time with his grandchildren. He especially loved playing games, backgammon, and dice were his favorites and took pride in teaching each of his grandkids how to play. Those moments, full of laughter and patience, will be cherished forever.

He will be deeply missed but never forgotten.

A celebration of life will be held at a later time.
