The Lady Dinos welcomed the Uintah Utes to Price on Thursday evening, Carbon was coming off a win over Union last Tuesday. Even though they kept the contest close, Uintah edged the Lady Dinos in the contest 43-36.

The last time Carbon was on the court was the Tuesday before Thanksgiving in Roosevelt taking on the Union Cougars, the Lady Dinos would come away with a 43-41 win.

Both teams were evenly matched, which meant that neither one could take a quarter off. Uintah held a small lead after quarter one 13-10. Carbon came out in the second and matched the Utes point-for-point as each team would score 11, but unfortunately, it also meant that the scoring gap wouldn’t change as Uintah took a 24-21 lead into halftime. 

In the third quarter, both squads would look to take an edge and it was the Lady Dinos that earned it outsourcing the Utes by two, cutting the lead to 31-30 heading to the final eight minutes. Carbon came out flat in the fourth only managing six points as Uintah would double them up scoring 12 taking the 43-36 win. 

Kenadie Maughn scored 18 for the Utes leading all scorers. 

Bailey Johnson scored nine to lead Carbon, grabbing three rebounds, three assists, and three steals. Bailey Curtis had eight with five boards and a pair of assists, and Jacie Jensen added seven with four steals in the loss. 

Carbon will be back on the court on Tuesday when they will travel to Juab to face the Wasps.
