Wrestling their second dual meet in as many days, the Emery Spartans took the mat on Wednesday, Dec. 18 to take on the Maple Mountain Golden Eagles. Coming away with wins in four of the 14 weight classes, the Spartans as a team would fall 55-22.
In three of their four victories, Emery won by pin fall, with Dixon Peacock and Devon Byars ending the match in the first period and Dayton Farley needing just a minute more, ending his in the second.
The Spartans would also win one match by major decision, with Corbin Jensen going the distance but dominating his opponent to the tune of 10-0.
Following the loss, Emery looks ahead to Friday, Dec. 20, and Saturday, Dec. 21, when they travel to Salt Lake City to participate in the annual Christmas Clash tournament.
