Thursday night the No. 2 ranked Falcons came to the gym and handed the Lady Dinos a 62-43 loss. Carbon will have one more shot at Canyon View on February 4 in Cedar City.
Saturday was a new day and the Dinos were ready to put that game behind them as they came out ready putting up 18 in the first quarter and defensively holding the Rabbits to just six points in the period. In the second, Delta came out and gave Carbon their best shot scoring 13 and holding the Dinos to 11 cutting into the lead 29-19 as the teams went to the locker room for halftime.
The third quarter came as Carbon felt as though they were in control of the game and they also slowed the pace from the first as they went on to put up 14 and held Delta to 11 still holding the advantage on the scoreboard heading into the final quarter. The final period allowed Carbon to keep the pace they had set in the third as the Lady Dinos would score just nine but more importantly hold Delta to six to close out the Rabbits 52-36.
