The Spartan Swimmers were in Moab to face the Grand Red Devils and the Delta Rabbits. Emery was able to earn multiple places in many events and secured first place on both sides of the pool

The Emery boys amassed 555 points followed by Grand in second with 312 and Delta with 245.

In the 200 medley relay, Thomas Black, Parker Jensen, Trek Petersen, and Adam Olsen swam to a first-place finish with 1:51.38. The Spartans also went on to capture second, third, and fourth places. Tyler Daley, Cody Howard, Jacob Morris, and Reve Mason earned another first-place finish in the 200 free relay, turning in a time of 1:44.61. Teams from Emery also finished in third and fourth place. Jensen, Black, Petersen, and Olsen finished first in the 400 free turning in a time of 3:46.20, the Spartans also earned a second-place finish.

A trio of Spartans earned first-place finishes in their events. Jensen took the top spot in the 200 free with a time of 2:01.86 and in the 100-yard breaststroke turning in a time of 1:05.25.  Mason grabbed first in the 200 IM at 2:26.64, and the 100-fly at 1:03.18, Olsen took first in the 50 free with his time of 24.22 and the 1oo free at 54.22. Black finished the 100 backstroke with a time of 1:02.83, He would also take second on the 50 free.

Jamison Christiansen earned a pair of second-place finishes in the 200 free and the backstroke. Peterson earned a pair of second-place finishes in both the 100-fly and the 100-yard breaststroke.

Morris collected two third-place finishes in the 100-free and the 100-yard breaststroke. Preston Hulse finished in third in the 200 IM, Brekker Bunnell took third in the Backstroke, Haylen Willis went third in the 500 free, and Howard took third in the 200 free and fourth in the breaststroke. Daley finished fourth in the 50 free, Kamron Hanson took fourth in the backstroke, Jacob Erickson earned a fourth-place finish in the 100-fly and fifth in the backstroke, and Hyrum Russell went fourth in the 200 free and fifth in the 100 free.

The Lady Spartans earned 514 points to finish first with Grand scoring 325, and Delta 131.

The Emery team of Illyria Mason, Brooklyn O’Neil, Hallie Frandsen, and Jessie Childs took first in the 200 medley relay with their time of 2:14.90, the Lady Spartans would also take second and third places in the race.  In the 200 free O’Neil, Ashley Mesler, Mary Horrocks, and Annie Johansen finished in second, and Johansen, Childs, Mason, and Frandsen finished first in the 400 free with a time of 4:26.52.

Four Lady Spartans were able to capture first-place finishes in individual events. Childs took first in the 50 free with a time of 28.76, she also earned a second-place finish in the  100 fly. Frandsen took the top spot in the 200 IM with a time of 2:41.13 and then swam her way to a fourth-place finish in the breaststroke. Johansen took first in the 500 free with her time of 6:53.31 and also finished second in the 50 free, and O’Neil earned a first-place finish in the 20 free with her time of 2:31.71, she went on to take second in the breaststroke.

Kate Bell finished second in the backstroke and fifth in the 200 free, Illyria Mason took second in the 200 IM and third in the breaststroke. Hadley Meccariello took second in the 100 free and fourth in the backstroke. Mesler earned a third-place finish in her event in the 100 free, Alivia Daley had a third-place finish in the and a fifth in the 100 free, and Sydni Lake took fourth in both the 200 free and the 100 free.

Lily White earned fifth-place finishes in the 200 IM and the 100 backstroke and Laycee Winn earned fifth-place finishes in the 50 free and the breaststroke.

On Tuesday Emery travels to Manti and will face North Sanpete and Juab.
