The Pinnacle Lady Panthers headed out Friday night to Monticello to take on the Buckaroo. This was a tight game from beginning to end however the Lady Panthers would come up on the short end… barely losing 36-33.

Pinnacle jumped out early in the first as they held the Buckaroo to four points and were able to find the basket scoring 11 taking the seven-point lead into the second quarter. Monticello came out looking to make up some ground collecting 11 as Pinnacle added 13 to their total and held a slight advantage at half time 19-18.

By the time the third quarter came around each team knew what the other had to offer and it showed in the score as each team put up 10 points and the Lady Panthers held that one-point edge going into the final quarter. in the fourth, it was almost methodical how the two teams approached each other but Monticello found the answer, doubling up Pinnalce in the quarter and taking the three-point win 36-33.

Heather Kerr led the way for the Panthers scoring 18, and Jostyn McLean scored 12 in the loss.

The Lady Panthers head back out on the road on Thursday when they travel to Whitehorse.
