On Thursday evening the Lady Spartans traveled to Delta to face the Rabbits. Emery was in control of the game and used a big third quarter to take complete control as they earned the 45-31 win.

The win over Delta capped the fourth win in a row for Emery, who in the run collected wins over Carbon, North Sanpete, and the No. 6 team in 3A Juab.

Emery came out in the first quarter and put 11 points on the scoreboard holding the Rabbits to eight. The second was a little quieter but Emery was able to keep Delta at a distance out scoring them by three and taking a 19-13 lead to the locker room at halftime.

In the third Emery exploded offensively putting up 16 points in the quarter but defensively they held Delta to just two points building a big lead, 35-15 as they moved to the final quarter. The final eight minutes were a time for the Lady Spartans to relax with the lead they had and it showed as Delta was able to put 16 up and hold Emery to 10, but the Spartans took the 45-31 win to move to 9-8 overall and 6-2 in Region 12 play.

Katelyn Nielson collected 19 points in the game, Kali Jensen added 10, and Megan Stilson and Aleeyah Cowley each had four in the win.

On Tuesday, the Lady Spartans welcome the Richfield Wildcats to the Spartan Center.

Game time is set for 7:00 p.m..
