The Lady Dinos regular season came to a close on Thursday evening when they welcomed the Duchesne Eagles to Carbon High School. After 14 matches in different weight classes, the meet would end with a tie 36-36.

Carbon’s girl’s squad has had a very successful regular season and now they will wait for January 31 & February 1 for the Divisional round of the state playoffs that will be held at Juab High School in Nephi.

The Lady Dinos were victorious in six of 14 matches with Emma Parker at 125 pounds earning the win over Shaylee Ivie. Sloan McCourt and Alizah Trostle took their wins by forfeit at 135 and 145 pounds respectively. Isabella Galarza earned her win over Taylor Spencer by pin at 170 pounds, Rickelle Collins won her match at 190, and Lily Provost took her win at 235 pounds.

There were four extra matches with Yo’sea Romo getting a win at 125 pounds and Alizah Trostle taking the win at 155 pounds.

After Divisionals, the State Wrestling Championships will be on February 14 & 15 at Utah Valley University in Orem.
