Utah State Eastern faced a tough challenge against the Snow College Badgers on Wednesday night, falling 120-78 at the Horne Activity Center in Ephraim, Utah. The Badgers, riding an impressive 20-1 record and remaining unbeaten in conference play, showcased their offensive firepower with a lights-out shooting performance, leaving the Eagles searching for answers despite a valiant effort.

USU Eastern guard Sevastian Rosado stood out with an 18-point performance, complemented by five assists. Kayin Turner brought energy off the bench, adding 14 points on 5-of-6 shooting, while Ike Palmer contributed 14 points and two triples. However, the Eagles struggled to keep pace with the Badgers’ relentless efficiency, as Snow College shot a staggering 64.2% from the field and connected on 19 three-pointers.

The Badgers jumped to a commanding 55-32 halftime lead, fueled by precise ball movement and relentless pressure. Snow College forced 18 turnovers and despite the Eagle’s improved second-half effort, scoring 46 points after the break, the deficit proved insurmountable against a Snow team firing on all cylinders.

The Eagles’ interior scoring kept them competitive, registering 38 points in the paint, but Snow College’s ability to stretch the floor and dominate in transition proved too much. Utah State Eastern also struggled to secure rebounds, grabbing just 26 compared to Snow’s 31, with the Badgers finding second-chance opportunities that further widened the gap.

The loss moves USU Eastern to 11-7 on the season and 2-4 in conference play. The Eagles will look to regroup as they prepare for their next matchup on the road against North Idaho College on Thursday, January 30 at 7:00 PM PST.
