It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Mae Evridge Sorensen.
Mae was born on March 3, 1958 to John and Colleen Evridge. Mae was the second of four children, Jeaneane, (Mae), Billy, and Ray.
Mae married the love of her life, her true soulmate, Allan Sorensen who sadly returned to heaven only 19 days prior to Mae’s passing. Together the two of them created their own perfect “Brady Bunch” having seven children between the two of them. Mae adored her children Brandy, Dale, Jackie, and Jake Fuller, who grew up alongside Allan’s three sons, Wayne, Clint, and David Sorensen. Together they all made a lifetime worth of memories and adventures that she deeply cherished.
Mae was a multi-talented woman who could accomplish anything she set her mind too. From macrame, crocheting, cake decorating, pie-baking, and diamond dot making, to welding, and driving 18-wheelers across America’s highways, where later she would complete her truck driving career hauling coal for the Savage Brothers’ company.
Known as a hard worker, Mae was a security supervisor at the Hunter Power Plant for several years. She also acquired an associate degree in welding and received her nail technician certificate in the beauty industry. Mae had incredible mechanical skills, where she was able to change her own oil and install a new clutch in her vehicles. Mae accomplished all of these incredible things while raising her children and working two jobs.
Of all of Mae’s accomplishments, she took the upmost pride in being a devoted mother to her seven children, and a grandmother to Micah, Kourtney, Autumn, Delrai, Jordon, Deryk, Jonny, Jake, Treyson, Makynlee, Wayne, Savanna, Riley, and Nicole. Great-grandmother of seven and another arriving soon. Mae never fell short of being the most supportive to the ones she loved, and we will cherish all of our memories with Grandma Mae.
Mae is survived by her children, Brandy Moon, Dale (McCall) Fuller, Jackie (Kasey) Jensen, Clint (Amie) Sorensen, and David Sorensen; sister, Jeneane (Chuck) Warren; and brother, Billy Evridge.
While we are heartbroken to say goodbye, we take comfort in knowing that a joyous reunion is taking place with her soulmate, Allan; beloved son, Jake; stepson, Wayne; her parents, John and Colleen; her younger brother, Ray; and many other loved ones.
