For Vicky Hill, cleaning is more than just a business; it’s a second chance. After spending years in nursing, Hill didn’t want to return to the medical field following the COVID-19 pandemic. This search for something else led her to start Sparkling Spaces, a business dedicated to making the Castle Country a little cleaner.
“I was fortunate enough to have a mother that had a cleaning business, and she did very well at that,” explained Hill of her origin in the industry,” when I retired from nursing, I decided to go into the cleaning business like mom did. I did a little bit of housekeeping with a friend, and I decided there’s more to this, and I don’t want to sit around the house, so I decided to take everything out and start a business of my own.”
What makes Sparkling Spaces stand out isn’t just its dedication to cleanliness, but the wide variety of services and customization it offers. “We’re not like the big guys out there. We’re here for the community’s families and want to help out. So we have an office or a space to be cleaned, and if you want a detailed clean, we come in and customize it because nobody’s two spaces are the same.”
With the small-town, high-quality work that Sparkling Spaces does, Hill has also made it an emphasis to get involved with the community. “Community is what I’m here for and getting everybody together. I just love that I have that link to our community.”
Building on this community emphasis, Hill discussed the businesses wanting to hire local talent,” You can send your resume to sparklingspacesut@gmail.com. Starting in April, I’ll review applications and resumes for power washers and people who know how to clean in detail. We just have a variety of things that we need people to work for us for.”
With spring in the air, Sparkling Spaces offers a wide variety of services to help residents of Castle Country with their spring cleaning needs. “This month, we’re focusing on our commercial and residential cleaning. We want to get in there and get those offices all sparkly for everybody. We also do move-in and move-out cleaning. We know that winter’s over and the dust bunnies are out, so we want to clean up for you.”
“My mother passed away at the age of 55. I’m sure she is happy about Sparkling Spaces,” said Hill.
