The excitement was palpable on Sunday, April 6, as the Kiwanis of Price hosted their 59th annual Radio Auction. Following a 2024 hiatus from the event, the organization returned stronger than ever, raising over $15,000, which will all go back into the community through various initiatives.
The event was held across the Castle Country Radio Family of stations, with 95.3 the Peak, Kickin’ Country, Rock 103 and KOAL all hosting the auction. Items to be auctioned included power tools, generators, fishing gear and gift certificates for businesses across Castle Country.
Organizations outside of Kiwanis also got in on the fun, with Battle Baseball and the Miss Carbon County Scholarship Organization entering the fray for the event.
“We are very thankful to the Kiwanis and everything they do for us and our community,” said Miss Carbon County Shalyce Rauhala in a social media post. “I’m so glad we can help them out in any way that we can and give back to them! Thank you, Kiwanis, for everything!”
Kiwanis is an organization that helps kids with eyeglasses, hosts an annual kids’ day in the park and much more. The annual auction is one way that they give back to the community.
With the success of the event’s return, excitement is already building for its 2026 rendition.
