At Eastern Utah Community Credit Union, the philosophy of “people helping people” influences everything the credit union aims to do. With the Easter season upon us, EUCCU is preparing to host its annual “Easter Piggy Hunt” on April 17. Additionally, the credit union is hosting a new in-house mortgage promotion.
Dallan Ward from EUCCU joined the KOAL Newsroom to highlight the event and promotion.
“So we will have the Easter Piggy Hunt on April 17. So we’re going to have prizes there for people who show up,” explained Ward. “We have a ticket per person as they show up, but we’re also going to sell some tickets for some of our prizes. We’re giving away some Lagoon tickets and then some other great prizes as well.”
All money raised from ticket purchases goes toward the Angel Tree Program.
Ward shared that these prizes may include ” some outdoor prizes and things that the kids can go and have fun with, like camping and different things like that.”
In addition to this event, EUCCU is holding a new in-house mortgage promotion. “It’s going to be a fixed rate. It’s going to be 10 years at 5.5%,” said Ward. “It’s not everyone’s cup of tea, but it’s kind of for people, you know, that are toward the end of their mortgage. Maybe they have a variable rate home equity line of credit that they want to switch over and do a fixed rate for a shorter term.”
Ward walked us through the application process: ” Typically, you’ll come in and sit down with one of our loan officers. It’s always easier to bring in your two years’ tax returns and things like that. You’ll sit down with one of our loan officers, and they’ll guide you in the right direction and get you through it.”
In closing, Ward said,” I just hope to see you all at the Easter Piggy Hunt.”
EUCCU’s Easter Piggy Hunt will be held on Thursday, April 17, starting at 5 p.m. at the credit union’s Price Branch. For more information on EUCCU, visit euccu.com or follow the credit union on Facebook.
