As anticipation builds for the 2025 rendition of the Carbon County Fair, surprise reveals from Carbon Events and Recreation add more fuel to the fire. The most recent announcement from CERCUT proves particularly exciting: The organization announced Hayley Atwood as the 2025 Carbon County Fair Citizen of the Year on Tuesday, May 20.

“Hayley has made a lasting impact in our community – leading the Thanksgiving Heroes program, supporting countless local fundraisers, mentoring youth, and promoting positivity, wellness, and mental health awareness,” reads a social media post from CERCUT. “Her uplifting presence, both in person and online through @say.it.hay, continues to inspire many across Carbon County.”

Atwood uses her platform to highlight her journeys in life and motherhood as she raises her three children alongside her husband, Tyler. Her @say.it.hay Instagram account has garnered over 2000 followers and 1000 posts.

Atwood also serves as a key figure in the Thanksgiving Heroes program, a nonprofit that, according to its website,” works tirelessly to make a difference in the lives of those facing hunger in our local communities – one meal at a time.” The organization delivers meal kits featuring Thanksgiving staples such as turkey, sides and dessert.

Atwood will be celebrated during the opening ceremonies for the Carbon County Fair on Thursday, June 6, at 6 p.m. at Thelma’s Park. Following the opening ceremony, a cornhole tournament and concert from Natural Causes will take place.

Castle Country Radio would like to congratulate Hayley for this achievement and thank her for her dedication to improving Carbon County and Utah.
