Utah Department of Transportation News Release
DUCHESNE COUNTY (May 22, 2025) – The Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) has resumed construction on U.S. Highway 191 through Indian Canyon between Helper and Duchesne and is offering two open-houses where community members can meet the contractor and project team to learn more about the improvements.

Duchesne Open House
Location: Duchesne City Offices, 500 E Main Street, Duchesne, UT 84021
Date: Thursday, June 5
Time: Between 5:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.
Work scattered throughout the 45-mile corridor includes new passing lanes, widening select roadway and shoulder areas, expanding chain-up areas, improving intersections, drainage systems, and guardrail. Construction is expected to extend through Fall 2026.
